It had been years since Dan was working in an institution, still waiting for his wage to be what it was promised. He had not been paid fairly; he was being exploited. His boss took credit for the outstanding work he did, and things were bad for him, both in terms of finance as well as credentials. Ultimately, Dan decided to quit the job and start his own business. His contacts paid off, and soon he was running his own office.
Years passed by and his previous institution, where he was once employed, started running in losses. Finally it had to close. One fine morning, he had a visitor in his office. When he looked at the card, lo, it was his ex-boss. He was there to seek a job in Dan’s office.
There are so many situations in our lives where we cannot understand why they are happening. There are things about which we don’t know, but at the same time, we are provided with all that we should know and what we need to know, which is mentioned in the Word of the Lord. Always remember that nothing happens in our lives without His will, He has predestined us (Ephesians 1:11). God promises to keep his people safe in His hands. Though we face trials, He promises a future of hope. Dan did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, being sincere and diligent in his job despite all the obstacles. Dan waited on the Lord and He rescued him. Praise God!
