“Whatever delights us directs us,” is a very thought-provoking statement by Warren Wiersbe. It’s a good instruction for self-examination. We should be careful of what we enjoy and where it has directed us, what path it has led us down. If you have found yourself on a wrong path, know that there is another way. The blessed person finds their delight in God’s Word, and subsequently finds himself on a godly joy-filled path. Delight comes through experience; the continuation of Psalm 1:2 advises us to study and meditate on God’s law day and night. Delighting in His Word in this way opens us to God’s Voice—it is one important way we allow God’s entrance into our daily life. What are the benefits of this lifestyle of delighting in God’s Word? “The steps of a man are established by the Lord when He delights in His way.” (Psalm 37:23) His Way is His Word. Read it, meditate on it, and expect your steps to be established. He will lead you and guide you. “Your decrees are my delight. They are my counselors.” (Psalm 119:24) His decrees will direct you and enlighten you in your doubt and uncertainty. In His book, you will find the Truth that answers your questions and leads you along a righteous path. Have you heard that phrase that the Bible is not merely a book of information, but a book of transformation? The Word can be a door to your transformation. “Though distress and anguish come upon me, Your commands are my delight.” (Psalm 119:143) His Word will sustain you in trials, comfort you in troubles, and give you peace in moments of distress. “Had Your teachings not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.” (Psalm 119:92) Yet another confirmation of His divine aid. The verdict is that God’s Word enlivens you with spiritual stability and fruitfulness in many ways. In this, the Father shapes you and transforms you into who He created you to be. He leads you along the road of His divine will. Don’t cut off His Voice from your life. Say with David: “I find joy in the way of Your Decrees, more than all riches.” (Psalm 119:14) “In Your Law I take delight. I will never forget Your Word.” (Psalm 119:16) Amen. Contact Karen |

The steps to share your faith without fear – no confrontation. Pray and then get them alone.
Ask these five questions to help discover their personal spiritual condition.
Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
Listen to their answers in a calm and open way. You are asking their permission to share Christ with the last question. If they say no, you can drop it – no confrontation. You have still done the work of Christ and offered the truth.
Here are a series of five Bible verses to ask the lost person to read aloud if you have their permission. Let them read them and remain silent. After each verse they read, ask them what it says to them. If they misunderstand, ask them to read it again until they admit the truth in the verse.

Then ask them a series of five questions that summarizes the truth of the verses and lead the lost person to the point of decision.
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender yourself to Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart and into your life?
Lead them in the Sinner's Prayer if they are ready to make a decision. Stay in touch and get them discipled or connect them with a local fellowship or small group for future growth.
