“In Your light we see light.” Psalm 36:9 NAB
We are destined to live in the kingdom of His light. The Word confirms this marvelous transfer, when Jesus “called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9) If you have answered Jesus’ call, your address has changed. You are born again into His kingdom of light. No more darkness.
Light is your birthright. “The people who sit in darkness have seen a great light.” (Matthew 4:16) That light is Jesus. The Lord told us, “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:5) Turn to Jesus, and you will have light.
Light is your guide. Light symbolizes God’s presence, and His Truth. If you find yourself approaching the shadows, walking along the borders of His kingdom of light, turn around! Look toward the light of His face. Call His Name. His presence will surround you. The darkness about you will become light once again. “You, Lord, give light to my lamp; my God brightens the darkness about me.” (Psalm 18:28) Your inner light will never be snuffed out, because the Lord brightens your flame within throughout your journey. He even left you letters that will bring you to His light, a haven where your light may be expanded. “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105) He will set your feet in the right direction, counseling you with His Word, shining light at your feet. Turn to His Word, and you will have light.
Light is your calling. Be committed to this divine grace. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” (Ephesians 5:8) You are on a journey. Do not follow the footsteps of the world. Jesus encourages you to follow Him, to walk in His footsteps. Why? “Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) Walk as a child of the light. Follow Jesus, and you will have light.
Lord, what a privilege to live in Your kingdom of light. Your presence shines upon my soul, and keeps my lamp aflame. Rescue me from the shadows that encroach, whisper Your letters in my heart, that I may walk as Your child in the light. Amen. |

The steps to share your faith without fear – no confrontation. Pray and then get them alone.
Ask these five questions to help discover their personal spiritual condition.
Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
Listen to their answers in a calm and open way. You are asking their permission to share Christ with the last question. If they say no, you can drop it – no confrontation. You have still done the work of Christ and offered the truth.
Here are a series of five Bible verses to ask the lost person to read aloud if you have their permission. Let them read them and remain silent. After each verse they read, ask them what it says to them. If they misunderstand, ask them to read it again until they admit the truth in the verse.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 ESV
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 ESV

if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.… Romans 10:9-10 BSB
Then ask them a series of five questions that summarizes the truth of the verses and lead the lost person to the point of decision.
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender yourself to Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart and into your life?
Lead them in the Sinner's Prayer if they are ready to make a decision. Stay in touch and get them discipled or connect them with a local fellowship or small group for future growth.
