| | | Ask Yourself, What If I Did Not Fear or Worry? Michael Edwards
Imagine a life unburdened by fear and worry—a life where you boldly pursue God's calling without hesitation. I mean, really think about it for a moment, ask yourself what you would do differently if you chose to not fear or worry, and you could follow your boldest dreams without hesitation? What dreams would you chase? What risks would you take? Stop and imagine no fear and worry for a few moments right now.
Fear and worry often paralyze us, whispering doubts that drown out God's promises. Fear and worry often act as though they are trying to protect us from loss, while they slowly steal our lives away. But Scripture calls us to release these chains and step out in faith, trusting in the One who holds our future.
Consider Isaiah 41:10 (ESV): "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." God doesn't just suggest we avoid fear; He commands it, backed by His presence and power. When Joshua faced overwhelming battles, the Lord declared in Joshua 1:9 (ESV): "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." This isn't mere encouragement; it's a divine mandate to advance, knowing God goes before us.
Worry, that relentless thief of peace, is equally addressed. Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:34 (ESV): "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Why fret over uncertainties when our Heavenly Father provides for the birds and lilies? He knows our needs intimately. Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV) urges: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Hand over your anxieties through prayer, and receive His supernatural peace.
Letting go isn't easy, but it's liberating. Cast your cares on Him, as 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV) says: "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." God cares deeply—more than we can fathom. When fear whispers "what if," faith responds "even if," rooted in His faithfulness.
Today, envision that fearless life. Step out: share your faith, forgive boldly, pursue that God-given passion. As you release fear and worry, you'll discover joy in obedience and strength in surrender. Trust Him fully—your adventure awaits and you may just be one decision away from the land flowing with milk and honey.
On the other side of the fear is the flow.

The steps to share your faith without fear – no confrontation. Pray and then get them alone.
Ask these five questions to help discover their personal spiritual condition.
Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you think there is a heaven and a hell?
If you died right now, where would you go?
If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
Listen to their answers in a calm and open way. You are asking their permission to share Christ with the last question. If they say no, you can drop it – no confrontation. You have still done the work of Christ and offered the truth.
Here are a series of five Bible verses to ask the lost person to read aloud if you have their permission. Let them read them and remain silent. After each verse they read, ask them what it says to them. If they misunderstand, ask them to read it again until they admit the truth in the verse.

Then ask them a series of five questions that summarizes the truth of the verses and lead the lost person to the point of decision.
Are you a sinner?
Do you want forgiveness for your sins?
Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?
Are you willing to surrender yourself to Christ?
Are you ready to invite Jesus into your heart and into your life?
Lead them in the Sinner's Prayer if they are ready to make a decision. Stay in touch and get them discipled or connect them with a local fellowship or small group for future growth.
