Christ is Coming Shower
By Patsy Hallum

Luke 1:76 (KJV) And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest; for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

To prepare for a baby, we have showers, decorate rooms, pick out names. We notify everybody, not just relatives and close friends, that a baby is coming. It’s glorious news for us to shout to the world.

Let’s share Christ’s coming in the same way. We can have ‘Christ is Coming Showers;’ teaching and sharing His Word with the people we invite. We should encourage our guests to spread the Good News that Christ is coming. Let’s decorate ourselves and our houses to show His love. The unconditional love of God is glorious news. Share it with relatives, close friends, neighbors, everyone you meet. Pray for the needs of those you'll never meet.

How do we decorate ourselves to show His love? By learning His word, and letting the Holy Spirit work through us. It's not the way we clothe ourselves with earthly clothes; it's the way we open ourselves to the Holy Spirit. He shines through our countenance, our smile, our talk, our walk. Yes, it takes time. Let the Word of God guide you in all you attempt. You will find as you get closer to Him, worldly things are not important anymore. Bringing souls to Christ, gaining eternal life for them is the most important job you will ever have. Rejoice in it!
