Subject: 🇪🇸Welcome to Galicia ~ New Vintage from the Master🇪🇸

As a passionate son of Ribeiro, Luis Rodriguez is one of the most knowledgeable winegrowers in Galicia. He studied enology and philosophy in Madrid, took the time to visit many of Europe’s great wine regions, and served as the president of the Ribeiro D.O. for many years. Rodriguez established his bodega with the goal of making wines from indigenous grape varieties that were on the verge of extinction and he is, with a few others, responsible for the revitalization of artisanal Ribeiro wine growing. Luis’s vinhos tintos are considered to be the standard bearers for this ancient region.

We were lucky to get a few cases of this gem of which only 3,000 bottles were produced.

Where are we?
The Ribeiro D.O. is an ancient Galician wine region in Spain located 45 miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean, just north of Portugal. The area’s cold Atlantic climate does not make for easy farming, but it is ideal for producing wines of impressive finesse and mineral purity. Galicia’s top red wines combine the finesse of Burgundy, the savor of Saumur-Champigny and the brooding depth of the northern Rhône—all tied together with an electricity and aromatic profile that is uniquely Spanish.
