two bottles 2012 Domaine Jayer Gilles Echezeaux Grand Cru $270/bottle

95 Points Antoni Galloni “A rich, deeply layered wine, the 2012 Echezeaux covers every corner of the palate. Dark red cherries, plums, menthol, licorice, smoke and new leather are some of the many notes that blossom in a wine that stands out for its superb balance and potential. This is another wine with significant promise for the future.”
one bottle 2013 E Rouget (Georges Jayer) Echezeaux Grand Cru
Henri married Marcelle Rouget whose nephew Emmanuel Rouget now farms the Jayer Family vineyards. Henri had two brothers, Georges and Lucien. Initially Henri sold off the wines he produced from his brother's George's vines in bulk, but from 1988 to 2001 they were bottled as "Domaine Georges Jayer mise en bouteilles par Henri Jayer". What was formerly the Georges Jayer Echézeaux continues to be made and bottled by Emmanuel Rouget with a label referring to George's Jayer's daughter, Claudette Dulka.”

one bottle 2013 Emmanuel Rouget Vosne Romanee

one bottle 2013 Emmanuel Rouget Grand Cru Echezeaux
94-96 Vinous The 2013 Echezeaux Grand Cru is matured in 100% new oak. The nose is dark and broody, but very well defined and unfurls with hints of iodine and seaweed. The new wood is clearly well integrated and allows the terroir to shine through. The palate is vivacious and bounds along with energy that permeates through the blackberry, boysenberry, mineral and crushed violets notes, then with aeration, along comes a note of kirsch. This is well structured and contains so much energy on the finish that it might well turn out to be Emmanuel's best contribution to the 2013 vintage.”

twelve bottles 2014 Trapet Latricieres Chambertin Grand Cru $350/bottle
95 Points Wine Advocate
“Watch out for this when you see it in bottle!”

one bottle 2013 Ponsot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes $750 bottle
“The 2013 Clos de la Roche Cuvee Vieilles Vignes, from vines planted in 1905, has an inviting, delineated bouquet with vibrant wild strawberry, raspberry preserve and mineral notes. The palate has great tension - so suave and poised with superb symmetry and an effortless finish that I don’t think the Clos Saint Denis has at the moment. Laurent Ponsot did not disguise his enthusiasm for this Grand Cru and I could understand why. 95-97 Points.” Wine Advocate, Neal Martin
“This Clos de la Roche is absolutely stunning in every respect and displays a kaleidoscopic combination. 94-97 Points. Burghound, Allen Meadows

five bottles 2012 Liger-Belair Clos Vougeot Grand Cru $250 bottle
94-96 Antonio Galloni
“The 2012 Clos-Vougeot impresses for its perfumed aromatics, silky fruit and chalky tannins, all of which are impeccably balanced throughout. Sweet red berries, rose petals, chalk and bright saline notes abound. There is so much to look forward to here. The 2012 was vinified with fully destemmed fruit and aged in 40% new oak. This is a great Clos Vougeot in the making.”

94 Points Burghound “There is fine concentration to the powerful, tautly muscular and strikingly intense broad-shouldered flavors that are shaped by ripe structural elements and plenty of palate coating dry extract. There is superb length on the youthfully austere and very firm finish that makes it quite clear that plenty of patience will be required.”
