Subject: Move Over Ornellaia!

The owners of Chateau Giscours have taken root in the heart of Val di Cecina on the Tuscan coast. Biodynamic farming reigns here and the pristine beauty of the land and the pedigree of the winemaking team shines through.
"Caiarossa is one of the most important wineries in Pisa province and it is representative of a new generation of Tuscan wines now being made in coastal Tuscany. These wines are always a treat to taste and they remind us of the winemaking potential of this unknown area.” — Wine Advocate

From the spectacular 2010 vintage

2010 Pergolaia IGT

$192 6pack

Following the Tuscan tradition, Sangiovese dominates in this blend, shaping Pergolaia into a wine of intense bouquet, seductive body with soft tannins and superb depth.

"The 2010 Pergolaia is a pretty, silky wine to drink over the next handful of years. Sweet tobacco, dried cherries, spices and leather flow through to the soft, resonant finish. Dollops of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot round out the blend, but there is plenty of Sangiovese personality that comes though.” Antonio Galloni
2010 Caiarossa IGT

$480 6pack

"An IGT Toscana blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Alicante, the 2010 Caiarossa is a tremendous wine. The bouquet is rich and compelling with deep layers of dark fruit, spice and chocolate. Given the complexity of the blend, it's hard to identify any single variety although the softness of Merlot and the structure of the two Cabernet grapes definitely comes through in the mouth."
