Subject: Just tasted again! Pertimali ~ Declassified Brunello! Amazing Value for the Quality!

Robert Parker, “If I had only one Brunello to drink, it would be Pertimali.”

We just tasted again yesterday, and it is showing spectacularly!

Pertimali chose not to make a Brunello di Montalcino in the 2014 vintage and instead put all of their Brunello fruit into their Rosso di Montalcino. The wine is spectacular and a steal!

~Happy to Offer~

2014 Sasseti Pertimali Rosso di Montalcino

$336 case
"Lots of earth and richness to this rosso with plums, mushrooms, violets and dark fruit. Full body with soft, velvety tannins and a long finish. This is masterful rosso. From one of the top producers of Brunello. Drink now."
- James Suckling, Nov 2015
About the Winery

In northeast Montalcino, the Sassetti family has produced wine for more than a century. On the hill known as Montosoli, Pertimali’s wines are renowned for representing the perfect balance between the fruit-forward wines of southern Montalcino and the dense, structured, mineral wines of the north. In the vineyard and in the cellar, father Livio and his two sons work in observance of time-honored traditions, including hand harvesting, giant oak botte, and spontaneous fermentations, all in accordance with the phases of the moon and organic farming regulations. The wines are rich, deep, and perfumed, reflecting a very genuine style of Sangiovese.
