It is the Sauvignon vintage par excellence with a mineral quality that would make our friends from Sancerre jealous!

2014 Le Clementin de Pape Clement Blanc (Chateau Pape Clement) Graves
$68 bottle
50% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon Gris
A jewel in Bordeaux's famous Graves subregion. Chateau Pape Clement is one of the oldest properties in Bordeaux with the vineyard planted in the 13th century by Gertrand de Goth, the youngest son of a noble family who later became the Pope in 1305, then took the name of Clement V. The estate can take pride in the production of wine in the same vineyards for over 7 centuries.

Reds

2013 Ballade de la Pointe (Chateau La Pointe) Pomerol

2012 Les Hauts de Smith (Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte) Pessac Leognan
$36 bottle
55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon
Very supple, sexy, black cherry and blackcurrant and blueberry fruit jump from the glass of this soft, round, juicy wine. It shows white tannin and no real oak. The wine is a rich, fruity, very seductive style of wine to drink over the next 10-12 years.

2009 Esprit de Saint Pierre (Chateau Saint Pierre) Saint Julien
$40 bottle
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot
The estate was created in the 17th century although a number of legacies subsequently led to it being split up and dispersed. Through a combination of good luck and tenacity, in 1982 Henri Martin was able to put the estate back together the way it had been in 1855, the year of the famous classification. Ever since, thanks to the investments made by the owners, Saint-Pierre has been acknowledged by everyone as a perfect representative of the Grands Crus Classés of the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation.

2011 Lacoste Borie (Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste) Pauillac
$35 bottle
This is the single best value in Pauillac, bar none! The Borie family has owned the property since 1978 and the 2011 is precise, pure and beautifully balanced with ripe tannins and a bright finish.

2011 Marquis de Calon (Chateau Calon Segur) Saint Estephe
