Subject: High Scoring / Awesome Drinking 2015 Beaujolais!

Johan Lardy is the new superstar in Beaujolais. His vineyards are striking – with lots of diversity, excellent south facing exposure and picturesque backgrounds. The vines are not trellised and quite old at 40-111 years old. His vines are carefully maintained and are surrounded by the beauty of poppy flowers. All work is manual including harvest with an average yield of 45hl/ha. As expected from his vineyard practices he allows for native yeast fermentation and adds no sulfites.

93 Points Vinous Media "A suave, highly perfumed bouquet evokes red fruit liqueur, exotic flowers, smoky minerals and peppery spices. Sweet, expansive black raspberry and violet pastille flavors stain the palate and show a suave blend of concentration and vivacity. A sappy, concentrated yet vibrant wine that finishes silky, focused and very long, featuring harmonious tannins and lingering raspberry and spicecake notes.."Josh Raynolds
In his article, 2015 Beaujolais Part 2: A Vintage of Richness and Energy, Josh Raynolds writes, "The last three vintages for Beaujolais have been a string of home runs, but 2015 is likely to be the one that delivers the greatest impact and pleasure for most wine lovers. Two thousand fifteen has plenty of candidates for wine of the year; wines that deliver concentration and energy, with opulent fruit character and the classic core of acidity that gives Beaujolais its trademark vivacity. These wines are also built to age but at the same time display an exuberance that makes many of them pretty irresistible now."
