Subject: 🍷For Old School Barbera Drinkers🍇

In 1863 Giacinto Brovia founded the Brovia estate in the village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo district. The family has been continually engaged in the growing of grapes and the production of wine since that time.

The Brovias, from generation to generation, have been conscientious buyers of some of the finest vineyard sites in this noble zone, concentrating their efforts in their home village of Castiglione Falletto and the neighboring Serralunga d’Alba.

2022 Brovia Barbera d'Alba Sori del Drago

$384 case

The 2022 vintage bottling has brought us another classic Barbera with sleek seductive red and darks fruits all seamed together by an invigorateing acidity. All components in perfect harmony here.

This Barbera is produced from grapes harvested in the “Garblet” vineyard (also known as “Fiasco”) of Castiglione Falletto from a 0.8 hectare plot on a south-southeast facing slope at 250 meters altitude. The major part of the vineyard was planted in 1970.

Approximately 4,500 bottles are produced annually with 2400 allocated to us for the US market.
