Subject: ⚜Fleurie Beaujolais 2019 🍷 Creme de la Creme⚜

The 2019 vintage has turned out especially well, and it's the most overtly Fleurie-styled vintage—in the sense that this appellation is identified with perfume and finesse—that Coudert has produced in a decade. The fragrant and beautifully balanced 2019 will exercise special appeal over Beaujolais purists.

The regular cuvee already scored 94 points by Robert Parker’s Advocate, and this is the rare 80-year-old vines, Cuvee Tardives.

The oldest estate vines, at around 80 years old, go into the Cuvée Tardive bottling. It is the concentration and structure of the wine that gave rise to its “Tardive” or “late” moniker: it is not late-harvested fruit but rather wine meant to be enjoyed later, with longer aging in bottle.
