Very Happy to Offer

2008 Chateau Lagrange Saint-Julien

$62 bottle

93 Points Wine Advocate "Tasted ex-chateau and single blind in Southwold. With yet another strong performance under blind conditions, the Lagrange 2008 continues as one of the most consistent performers in this consistent commune. It has a slightly bretty nose that subdues the fruit, notes of iodine and violets emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, ripe tannins, well balanced with a much cleaner entry than the nose suggest. It improves all the time in the glass but those tannins will take years to melt. Impressive. Tasted January 2012." — Neal Martin

2008 Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou,
La Croix de Beaucaillou Saint-Julien

$60 bottle

92 Points Wine Advocate "Tasted ex-chateau and single blind in Southwold. This has a lovely, classic undergrowth scented bouquet with some fine black earthy fruit with overt cedar notes, almost Saint Estephe-like.
The palate is medium-bodied with strong tobacco notes on the entry, good depth, a little coarse and rustic and charming on its spicy finish. Tasted January 2012." — Neal Martin
