Triumph Over Adversity - RISE ABOVE - August 24 to 28

The RISE ABOVE Travelling Exhibit highlights the courage and determination of the Tuskegee Airmen, America's first black military pilots, who overcame obstacles to train and fight as U.S. Army Air Corps pilots, and what it means to us 60 years later.
Put yourself in the cockpit and soar above the clouds in your own P-51 Mustang as you step inside a travelling immersion exhibit featuring the original film, RISE ABOVE, on a 160-degree panoramic screen in a 30-seat temperature-controlled movie theatre.

The RISE ABOVE Travelling Exhibit makes its first ever visit to Canada at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. The P-51D Mustang "Red Nose" also flies in to be displayed with the Exhibit.  Regular admission rates apply.

Meet Red Tail Veteran Lt. Col. (Retired) Harold Brown – Sat. Aug. 27 - 9 am to 5 pm with Q & A at 1:30 pm
Dr. Brown completed ground and combat missions, strafing targets on the ground and protecting bombers in the air. On his 30th mission, Dr. Brown was shot down over enemy territory, bailing out of his badly damaged P-51 and taken as a POW.
Daily P-51 Mustang rides can also be purchased! Here's your chance to fly in this legendary fighter. To book/find out pricing, do not call the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, instead contact Emily at 502-807-9149 or rides@redtail.org.
Meet Astronaut Dr. David Williams – Friday August 26 – 9 am to 5 pm. In 1998 he flew aboard the space shuttle Columbia as a mission specialist.
