Easy Ways to Share Jesus

Ever wish you could find ways to connect with people and share the love of Jesus?

We’ve got ideas and resources to help you show your neighbors, friends and family members that God cares for them.

It can be as simple as sending a text or as involved as running a Bible study or evangelistic crusade. Whatever you feel called by God to do, there is a resource for you.

"It is a blessing that we can be active members in spreading the good news of Jesus," said Daniel Reed, ASI Columbia Union Vice President for projects, missions and evangelism when he learned about the The 3AM Call website in 2020. "Let us not stop, let us not be weary, let us move forward."

The 3AM Call website allows anyone to register for free to become a digital missionary and provides a variety of resources including bible study materials like this one: THREE COSMIC MESSAGES BIBLE STUDY COURSE — Receive all the information you need to give a Bible study on the three angels' messages.

The Church Entrusted

With the Message

"We are now living in the closing scenes of this world’s history. Let men tremble with the sense of the responsibility of knowing the truth. The ends of the world are come. ... The weighty obligation of warning a world of its coming doom is upon us. From every direction, far and near, calls are coming to us for help. The church, devotedly consecrated to the work, is to carry the message to the world: Come to the gospel feast; the supper is prepared, come... Crowns, immortal crowns, are to be won. ... Who will bear the light to those who are wandering in the darkness of error?"

— Ellen G. White, The Review and Herald, July 23, 1895, published in Evangelism.

THE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

What an amazing time to be alive! We have embarked on God’s 2021 plan for our lives and the journey ahead is unfolding day by day. In this year’s first edition of our newsletter, we ask that you join us in giving praises to God for getting us through 2020 and for the incredible promise and assurance that we find in Him.

For those who have experienced loss, we mourn with you and encourage you to let the God of comfort minister to you during this time.  He understands hurt and knows how to meet you where you are as the Chief Consoler.

And to the entire Columbia Union ASI family, we dedicate this first issue of the year to encourage us all to do our individual part to share the love of

Christ with those around us.  So many are hurting and searching for answers, and God has given us that answer. His name is Jesus. In this issue you will find suggestions on how to touch the lives of others. Choose what resonates with your unique gifts and personality, and do something, in your way, in your own time.

We are looking forward to a great year. Join us in being light, dispelling the darkness around us, and salt, adding flavor to and preserving life both for now and for eternity.  I don’t know about you but I am so glad I’m a part of the family of God. Let’s go and invite others to join the family!

Stay tuned for more communications from us, including notices regarding upcoming events.  Looking forward to seeing or speaking with you soon. Blessings to you all.

A CALL TO FAITH

Despite the difficulties of 2020, the sun rose and set each day. There was a full moon every month. We were blessed by the warmth of the sun through the spring and summer, and the beauty of the color on the trees in the fall.

We altered the way we worship, we took our message virtual. As much as we miss hugging each other and sharing space, how many more people heard the message “Jesus died for you. Yes, he loves even you" only because of our new virtual reality.

We still face many worldly uncertainties. Still, we have this hope, we have this promise because our God is not “just” our God. He is our Father. He promised if we run to Him, if we seek Him, if we abide in Him, He will be our protector! In 2020 for many of us, as we saw miracles happening despite the challenges, we often declared “But God.” Let’s continue in 2021 to be intentional about giving our God/our Father the victory.

— Sharon Pruitt, ASI Columbia Union vice president for spiritual development
