The month of February is all about hearts, flowers, chocolate, and gifts. While some are anticipating Valentines Day others are focusing on February because it is Heart Health Month. I love both! The sound of a heartbeat is like music to my ears. It's the sweetest sound whether I hear it or, feel it.
This month I want to shed light on some statistics that I read about. Did you know that heart disease and stroke are the world's biggest killers, accounting for a combined 15.2 million deaths in 2016? Sadly, these diseases have remained the leading causes of death globally in the last 15 years.
It has never been more important for us to take small steps toward preventing heart disease and stroke by eating better and getting exercise.
