Your Orientation toward Time and Why I Write Science Fiction,

Conversation with Melissa Clark-Reynolds

 + Event Tomorrow!

Hi Friend,

“I've seen so many different stories use science fiction to explore where we are today. And, there's something always very surprising about them. I just really enjoy them.”

In this episode, “Your Orientation toward Time and Why I Write Science Fiction, Conversation with Melissa Clark-Reynolds,” I continue my conversation with Melissa as they discuss what fascinates me about writing science fiction including the setting of my Janey McCallister Mystery series and share our results from Mind Time’s survey, inviting listeners to do the same.

Let's talk Writer's Stance!

Usually, when people think about mindset, they associate it with self-talk– how they talk to themselves. Or maybe they think mindset is all about attitude. Those aspects of mindset are important, but to be a successful creative on your own terms and to feel like you have your hand on the driver’s wheel of your life, there’s another, more encompassing concept I want to address, and it’s called stance. The Writer’s Stance.

The Writer’s Stance includes self-talk, attitude and much more and can help you clarify your writing goals, expand your options and sense of self, and give you practical and useful ways to improve your writing, write faster, or handle roadblocks as they come up.

In this hands-on workshop, I’ll share about:

-- the Writer’s Stance and what it is

-- the building blocks of our experience, the senses, and explore how that applies to improving your fiction

-- the readers’ experience, and how to tap into that

-- a procrastination-busting tool to help you spend more time writing

If you’re curious about how to expand your toolkit as a professional writer and incorporate some ways that help you learn more easily and integrate more information, so you can complete great novels, then join us!
