What problem do you need to solve?
♥️ ☕️

Hi Friend,
A few times a year I share about our Group Coaching Program for Genre Fiction Novelists. This is one of those times.

I have a question for you.

What problem do you need to solve?

Our job as authors is to craft a novel our readers will disappear into.

For most writers, this magic isn’t created in the first draft though. This magic is created when we edit, tweak, and revise -- crucial steps in the process of creating your polished novel.

New authors often make the mistake of thinking they can write a novel and immediately publish it. I promise you this isn’t the case.

Editing and revising aren’t easy, especially if you’ve never done them before. I so get it. I’ve been there.

I've stared at my messy first draft and asked, "Now what? How do I get from this to a novel my reader will disappear into and love?"

After lots of trial and error, I created a process that works to untangle the beautiful mess.

Ezra and I, like most writers, make multiple passes through our drafts before we release them to critique partners, beta readers, editors, and proofreaders.

In our group program for writers we share the editing process with you and help you tailor this process to you.

During the editing process you might:

-- tweak your author voice to be sure it’s consistent,
-- evaluate your structure to ensure the flow of your story makes sense,
-- develop and deepen your characters and world to make them more immersive to your reader,
-- and build depth into your story through powerful and effective sentence structure and dialogue.

Are you ready for this editing step on your book?

I’ve worked with a lot of authors. One of their biggest hurdles is taking that next step beyond their initial creation.

Whether you’re a new author finishing your first novel or a more experienced author with several unpublished novels under your belt, you may be wishing for more support from a trusted guide who’s been-there done-that.

One of the reasons I created the Author Group Coaching Program for Genre Fiction Novelists was to help unpublished authors bridge that gap between being a writer who has created a story to being an author with a novel that they’re proud of and ready to publish.

Can you answer yes to any of these questions?
  • Are you a beginning writer who wants to level up and move toward publishing your novel?
  • Are you ready to edit your novel and don’t know where to start?
  • Are you an experienced author who wants to improve and increase your understanding of structure, plot, and development?
  • Are you ready to take that next step toward publishing?
If any of these statements apply to you, and now is the time, and you like what you see here, then I’d like to coach you as you take your author career to the next level with my Group Coaching Program
