Hi Friend,
Welcome, new Creativity Sparks newsletter subscribers! Here we focus on inspiring and motivating content to help you write, edit, and market your novel on your terms. We also focus on actionable resources to help you create the change you desire.

Happy New Moon!

The first quarter of the year is now over.

It's a good time to reflect back and gaze forward...

I plan to do this today, using a planning tool I adapted from heart-centered business coach, Steve Mattus, of Actual Infinity. If you'd like that tool, I can send it to you. Steve has given me permission to share it.

Here are my prompts for you (and me!):

  • When you look back at the 1st 3 months of the year, what is your takeaway? Or what learning would you like to integrate?

  • As you look forward to the next three months (second quarter of the year), what are your intentions, goals, or milestones to reach?
Add sensory details. Dream big. Open your heart and feel.

Hit reply and let me know your thoughts or post them in our Fellowship of the Pen Facebook group here.

** If you're not already in this Facebook group and would like to be, click to JOIN, answer the questions, and I'll let you in.

On to 2 upcoming writer events, the first one starts tomorrow!
STYLE & VOICE

I'm excited to share an event created by my friend and colleague, Daniel David Wallace. His summit is happening this weekend, April 2-4, 2022.

Writing style is the first thing a reader notices, which is why it's so exciting that Style and Voice is returning for a second year.

Take your writing to the next level in this supportive, communal online event.

Two days of interactive sessions to build up your writing style: talks on narration, POV, dialogue, sentence construction...

Plus get a free style guide as soon as you register.

WRITING FROM THE BODY

A fellow creativity coach is offering a 12-week writing adventure, starting on the 12th of April, 6.30-8.30pm UK time (BST). (10:30am PT/1:30pm ET)

now write from your body!

Possible Job Opportunity

I’m looking for a Virtual Assistant who can support me in my marketing and publicity efforts. If you're new to my list, I'm a speaker, teacher, and author of fiction and nonfiction.

This is a good fit for you if you like customer service via email, want to contact media (bloggers, podcasters), are willing to learn and be trained, are flexible, and a creative writer.

This is a month-to-month contract position with room to grow and be mentored.

Terms: $20/hr
Commitment: 10-20 hours per month.
To start: April 18, 2022 (subject to change)

To apply, email me your resume/CV attached (Word doc or PDF), with a personal note about why you think this position would be a good fit for you.

Thank you for your consideration!

I stand for peace and for freedom. I stand with the people of the Ukraine. A great great grandmother was from Odessa, a great great grandfather was from Chernivitsi, both immigrating to the United States in the 1880s. I also have a Russian Jewish great grandfather who immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900s. And most of my other ancestors were from other parts of Eastern Europe -- the area being most affected by the over 10 million people fleeing the war zone.
