Read on if you still have questions...

When Sue invited me to share her Story Snapshot Method masterclass workshop with you, she knew you’d probably have some questions that I can’t answer.

So, below are the answers to some of the most common questions she gets about the workshop.

_________

FAQS

Who is this workshop for?

If you are a fiction writer who focuses on character-driven plots in your stories, this is for you.

BUT, this is a true masterclass, so you should already know the basics of writing (and finishing) a manuscript.

If you are brand new to writing—or want help writing either plot-driven fiction or any kind of non-fiction—this workshop may not be what you need.

Email Sue at sue@suebrownmoore.com if you have specific questions, and she'll be happy to help you decide.

Is this for all fiction writers? What if I don’t write romance?

While Sue does specialize in romantic fiction in her one-on-one editing work with authors, most of her storysmithing techniques focus on the character journey, not the romance elements.

(She just loves working on romance books. đŸ„°)

You’ll be using a romantic comedy movie, The Proposal, as your example in the workshop, but the Line-Libbing technique she’ll teach you is applicable to ANY character-driven fiction story.

If your character becomes a better version of themself by the end of your story (and that growth is the point of the story), then you can use this method in your plotting process.

What format is the workbook in?

The workbook is available to all attendees in two digital formats:

  1. The Adobe PDF version is a beautifully formatted visual treat, and it can be printed. This is a great option for writers who want quick, flippable access to Sue’s techniques and your own in-workshop brainstorming sprint results.

  2. The Google Doc version is editable right in your browser, so you can type in all your workshop exercises instead of having to scribble frantically with pen and paper.

Will there be a replay?

Yes! She highly encourages you to attend the live event, but if you just cannot, yes there will be a very limited-time replay of the entire event.

After your final session closes, she will enable the replay option in Airmeet, and you'll have 3 days to watch it.

The replay is also a great way to review any parts of the workshop that you had to unexpectedly step out of or that you need to revisit for more clarification.

This workshop is meant to be experienced live, so after the 3-day replay period, you won't be able to access the videos.

Later this year, she'll release the workshop recording as a self-paced course in her online university, where it will be available as a separate purchase.

Where is this happening (and can I attend from my phone)?

You'll be using a platform called Airmeet, which is super snazzy and feels a lot like being at an in-person conference (except you don’t have to travel or put on pants 😆).

During the midday break, you’ll be using Airmeet’s unique networking features to chat face to face (totally optional!)

Because the Airmeet platform is so powerful, they don't recommend attending an event like this using your phone.

So you’ll get the best experience if you can plan to be at a laptop or desktop for the full 4.5 hour session.

What is the refund policy?

She's not offering refunds for this event, but you will have 3 days to watch the replay.

In the case of a true emergency that prevents you from attending, email Sue (sue@suebrownmoore.com) and she'll work with you to find the best solution for both of you.
