Hi Friend,

Hurrah the rains have started here in Oakland, CA.

And I will be at the World Fantasy Con in downtown Oakland today, Thursday, through Sunday.

Yup, I'm nervous -- first time at a con in -- counts... -- since February 2020. (That was FogCon, another local con.) Whoa, 6 years!

No wonder I'm nervous.

From my speaker training, I know that these nerves are a normal part of doing something new and are a kind of fuel revving me up.

Here's what I'll be up to:

taking daily shifts at the Liminial Fiction book table, selling my books and others
highlighting my Henrietta The Dragon Slayer series and my Janey McCallister Mystery series, and
test-marketing my film pitch!
signing books Friday night, 8 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, and lastly, but certainly not least,
fangirling Ellen Kushner!!!! (Loved Swordspoint and I hear she has a sequel... drool!)

If you're there, contact me through the conference app and say hello. Or just hit reply and we can find a way to connect.

I share my nerves on Instagram.

❤️

I have been to a fantasy con in years. Reel on Instagram.
