Recording Available Now: Discover How to Improve Your Promotional Platform & Sell More Books

July 3, 2014

Hi Friend,

Happy almost Fourth of July for my US subscribers! I'll be off watching fireworks at night at the Berkeley Marina and on aunty duty, but first Ezra and I will be playing Pathfinder an RPG game (aka role playing game) with my 9-year-old nephew. (The aka comes from my nephew.)

To our new subscribers, thanks for joining the Creativity Sparks newsletter for creative writers and novelists who want to build successful and sustainable careers!

To do that we need to smile, pet our furry or furry-like creatures, and surround ourselves with support, like I have done here with Leo the cat in my arms, in my office, surrounded by the books and all their wisdom that I love.

Here we focus on creating fiction and sharing it with the world --

Because when we travel into a novel we can come back home to ourselves.

Friend, I'm guessing that you write fiction to be read. I'm also guessing that you'd like to get your books into the hands of as many readers as possible, and have lots of books sales.

Well, last week I was interviewed on strategies to help you promote your books and increase your readership via blogging and blog tours. Among other things, I answered the question, "What are book bloggers and why are they important?" Click here to register for the free audio. You'll get instant access to the recording. Be sure to listen to the end for a very special bonus!

:: Get craft tips on fiction at my blog here. Fellow author and editor Kay Keppler shares on the always important Point of View.

:: Maybe you have some tips to share with other authors and want to gain some visibility, too. Come guest blog for us! We have openings for both one-time posts and monthly columnists. Query me.

:: I want to hear what you have to say about the real or imagined conflict between "write from the heart" vs. "write for the market." Write a blog post for the Author Entrepreneurship Magazine. Another great visibility and promotional opportunity! Deadline: July 31, 2014. Check out the writer's guidelines here.

:: I'm all about helping novelists get unstuck, get writing their novels, and deepening their commitment to their author careers. One of the ways I do that is with deep dive sessions with you. Learn more about those here.

:: Check out other ways I help authors herehttp://bethbarany.com/.

:: Something to celebrate! I finished the first draft to my next paranormal romance novella last week and turned in my first-pass edit to my critique group on Monday.

Your turn: Choose a milestone, no matter how large or small, to celebrate. Then celebrate.

How? Feel the success! Share it with a friend. Lift a glass to yourself! I celebrated by sharing it with friends.

Why? When you acknowledge every you step you take in your creative work, you tell your subconscious that it's okay and safe to take bigger steps.

:: Lastly, I still have 5 more openings for complimentary Discovery sessions with authors in July. Talking with me is a great way to clarify your goals, get motivated, and discover if you're ready to work with me. I'm invaluable -- and so are you! -- but to give you some frame of reference, I value these calls at $225.

Once you schedule your hour-long phone appointment (yes, Skype is available), then I'll send you a short questionnaire that you need to fill out and return to me. Schedule your Discovery Session here.
Friend, Here's to you and your dreams!

Best,
Beth
