This will not be McManus' first appearance at a Constitution Party event as he also appeared at the 2008 Constitution Party National Convention in Kansas City, MO.

He is one of the Society's few authorized spokesmen.

Mr. McManus has written and produced numerous audiovisual programs, including the popular DVD Overview of America, which is a moving tribute about America's Constitutional roots. He has also written several books including "Financial Terrorism" (1993), "Changing Commands: The Betrayal of America's Military" (1995), "William F. Buckley, Jr.: Pied Piper for the Establishment" (2002), and The Insiders 5th Edition (2004). He is in wide demand as a speaker.

In addition to being a regular contributor of articles to The New American, he serves as its publisher. He is also publisher of the Society's member-only monthly Bulletin Mr. McManus was named president of The John Birch Society in 1991.

Born in 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, he is a graduate of Holy Cross College in Massachusetts He served on active duty as a lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years. For six years before accepting a staff position with the Society, he was employed as an electronics engineer.

The father of four and grandparent of several, Mr. McManus has been married to the former Mary Helen O'Reilly of Boston since 1957.

Ina recent interview, McManus was asked, "What are the core issues of the JBS?"Among the issues he listed:"preventing dilution of sovereignty through submission to a North American Union, exposure of the Insiders instead of ascribing destructiveness to stupidity or ignorance, nonintervention in the affairs and struggles of other nations accompanied by commercial relations with all who are honorable, retention of the God-given right to keep and bear arms, and a return to precious-metal currency, along with terminating the vise grip held over our nation's economic life by the Federal Reserve."

Constitutionalists gathering in Harrisburg for the 2011 Spring National Meeting can look forward to a very informative and stimulating presentations from John McManus and many other great speakers!

Finally, there is a possibility that a trip to theGettysburg Battlefield may be arranged for "early arrivers" on the morning of Thursday,April 28th. If there are no takers it will probably be yet another occasion for our somewhat deluded Field Director, on his own,and believing himself to be General George Pickett, to be seen charging across the Emmittsburg Road and finally taking Cemetery Ridge. Anyone interested in visiting Gettysburg on Thursday morning,April 28th, should contact the editor at this email address.

TRAVELERS ADVISORY: Flights into the Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) are not expensive and there is a free shuttle to the hotel. The other nearest major airports are Baltimore (BWI), about a one and one half hour drive, and Philadelphia (PHL) about a two hour drive. Other already announced speakers include Sheriff Richard Mack - former sheriff of Graham County, Arizona, and long-time crusader for freedom and individual rights and Taylor Haynes, the man who sat the Wyoming political world on its ear with his phenomenal, record setting write-in campaign for Governor in 2010. Still other top notch speakers have been confirmed and will be announced here very soon.

The presidential election year is approaching at a rapid pace. The Convention is in April of 2012. Ballot access, Presidential candidate possibilitiesand national convention planning will be major topics under discussion at this meeting, so a large turn-out from many states is urgent. It is time to make the Constitution Party a major personal priority for 2011 and 2012. Please make every possible effort to be there. After all, it's not a Party without you!

A meeting registration will soon be available at: www.constitutionparty.com/view_events.php

We are the OFFICIAL Constitution Party of Texas

Accept no substitutes, and do not be fooled by imposters!

Yes, believe it or not, there are at least two other groups out there who like our concept so much that they have stolen our logos, our platform, and even our name! It's nice to be popular, but this is the real deal.

Just ask our National CP Chairman,
Jim Clymer
