Dear Texas Patriots:

What a sad mess the two major political parties have brought upon this nation. Perhaps the philosopher was right who said, “In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve.” 1 Has not our apathy and our ignorance brought this on ourselves? If “eternal vigilance” is the price of liberty, then, as a nation we have certainly not been vigilant.

The dust has not settled from the 2020 election, and may not for some time. But believe it or not — the race for 2022 has begun! In the long run, who we elect at local and state levels is more important than who we elect to Congress or the White House!

Will we have a Constitution Party in Texas — affiliated with the national party? It’s up to you. Let us know:

• what county you live in
• how you would like to be involved, local or statewide
• tell us about yourself and your qualifications

Want to run for office — at any level? Consider local races within your county for 2022. If you hope to win, do NOT wait until mid-2022 to start thinking about it!

NOW is the time to do two things:

(1) Put together an exploratory team, to discuss it, and to pray about it;

(2) Start recruiting a Voting Team of Independent Conservative Voters!

Your small team of a few voters in your county today can have a BIG impact when you show them how easy it to build their own small teams, each of us focusing on a small circle of friends willing to break the pattern and to vote for conservatives in the races where there currently are none. MANY Republican candidates are just as socialist as most Democrats. It is our duty to quit supporting those who pretend to be conservative, yet who consistently vote for more government, more spending, more taxes.

We know we won’t be able to run candidates on a party ticket until we can get past the obstructions placed in our path by both big parties — so we’ll have to run our candidates as Independents until such time as we can gain the traction to make ballot access. (And maybe the time has come when independent candidates will appeal to a lot more voters!)

If you are interested in serving on the Provisional Executive Committee for Texas, please let me know in a private email. (That committee will be responsible for making all decisions, from the choosing of a name to appointing officers, approving new by-laws, etc.)
