“There’s always a flaw in the system.”
If you’re a Hunger Games fan, you know this line well (Betee says it in Catching Fire).
And... He's right.
No matter how carefully designed or implemented, nothing is perfect.
There will always be a weakness.
In systems. In plans. In people (including you).
But I’m not here to be a negative Nellie.
I'm here to remind you that excellence isn't about being flawless. It's about how you deal with flaws (in systems, plans, other people, and yourself). Are you ashamed they even exist or do you accept (and then plan for) them? Do you pretend they aren't all that bad or face them fully, head-on? Do you push past them quickly or take your time to learn from them?
Here's to planning for, facing, and learning from your flaws, Friend.
XO, Heather
P.S. Speaking of flaws…Lawyers beware: The size of your book doesn’t accurately represent the strength of your practice.
