Bella Blvd will now be a brand of products operating under the powerhouse of Doodlebug Design Inc. Since the early days of Stephanie’s recovery from Craniotomy surgery and later cancer diagnosis the doctors have highly recommended less stress in her life. This partnership will allow Stephanie, the face of Bella Blvd, to continue designing and doing what she loves, and allow Doodlebug to manage the business aspect of the Bella Blvd brand.
For consumers you will have until December 28th, 2018 to make online purchases directly from Bella Blvd’s website as you do now. Please be sure to sign up for our email notifications if you have not yet by clicking here. Details on sales, changes, updates and live products will be shared via email first and then social media outlets. Online sales will resume in 2019 with Doodlebug fulfillment.
A Note From Stephanie of Bella Blvd...
My story in this industry is that someone believed in me and invested. As a result, I founded Bella Blvd in 2008 in the upstairs of my parents’ home; a true entrepreneur’s story of hustle and hard work. Fast forward ten years and Bella Blvd is now an established, well-known brand! The people I have met along the way, the colorful products I have designed and the team that has stood behind me is something I am incredibly grateful for. Earlier this year, God threw my family for a loop with my seizure, surgery and cancer diagnosis. The outpouring of love and support has been humbling. The love from industry professionals and consumers and friends has been astounding.
Moving away from the day to day business was not a decision I came to lightly but is a reality I must face after hearing the doctor say, “You need to cut stress out of your life. That’s how you will live longer. You really need to think about that!”. This really put things into perspective. I want to choose life.This opportunity allows me to continue my gift of art and design which brings me the greatest joy and allows the stress of business decisions to be handled by someone I trust and love. Doodlebug is my perfect case scenario. Doodlebug is strong, organized, powerful, inspiring and at the end of the day, I trust them with Bella Blvd. I am forever grateful to Cynthea Sandoval and her team for being willing to take on this brand management partnership. I know it’s going to be amazing and that together we will create very colorful products! I’ve always admired her since the first day I met her when I was 16 and now we will be working together!
A Note From Cynthea of Doodlebug...
Many years ago, Doodlebug got a call from a store owner who was hoping one of her employees could come to Utah to shadow me and learn what having a scrapbooking business was all about. That employee turned out to be 16-year-old Stephanie, who had a dream to someday have her own scrapbook line. I was happy to show her around and take advantage of an opportunity to do some crafting! That trip led to a second trip, which led to her doing make & takes for us in our booth, and many years of friendship. Her and I kept in touch through the years and when Stephanie started Bella, I couldn’t have been prouder! I felt like I was a little stepping stone in her path to achieving her dream.
As Bella and Doodlebug grew, our passions and businesses kept us connected. We would often call each other for advice and to share our love for the industry, color and crafting. More trips. More dinners. More girl talks.
When I learned of Stephanie’s health issues and concerns with managing the business, I just felt like Doodlebug was meant to help. I represent Doodlebug in saying that we are so proud to be trusted to manage the day to day operation of the Bella brand so that Stephanie can continue to create and inspire us with her adorable designs, all the while enjoying quality time with her family. Two colorful brands coming from one colorful warehouse. What could be better?!
What does this mean for She Loves Color?
The show will go on! We are excited for 2019 and will continue as we started in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, hosting the best of the best industry leaders alongside the most super fan consumers out there! This event isn’t going anywhere and we will host 2019 educators including April Foster of Studio Calico, Jamie Pate of Jamie Pate Designs & Heidi Swapp Creative Team, Laura Graff of Webster’s Pages and Lory Bucaria (from Italy) of Big Picture.
What does this mean for Illustrated Faith products?
We have loved every minute of working alongside Shanna Noel! The mission we set out to do has been accomplished: to create products for the Bible Journaling community! In three short years we have created the basics of supplies for the bible journalers and have created a whole new product category! We are so proud to have taken the leap of faith with Illustrated Faith to develop products and entire collections with Shanna and our team. In addition, the three companies of Bella Blvd, Illustrated Faith & DaySpring have worked together on monthly devotional kits, ancillary products and the newest Illustrating Bible! Inventory is still available through Bella Blvd and will be until future notice, as Doodlebug Design will not be taking on Illustrated Faith line. This will not be the end for Illustrated Faith, but rather a new beginning. Shanna intends to bring her monthly kits back in-house which will allow her to get back to her roots which she is most passionate about: content. We have designed two new collections and hope to collaborate with DaySpring in bringing products with those designs to life! As you can tell, Illustrated Faith is just jumping off! We are thankful to be a part of this groundbreaking Bible Journaling movement and wish Shanna the best in her future endeavors. Who knows, we could partner together for a collection in the future!?
