The Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information thanks our audiences for the overwhelming response to be a part of our focus groups to share thoughts on resource needs and approaches for how to obtain consent for sharing patient treatment information.


Our application process is now closed. Those chosen to participate in the focus groups will receive a follow up from us shortly.

This project was reviewed and determined exempt under 45 CFR § 46.104(d)(2) by WCG Institutional Review Board on 2/7/2023, Protocol No. 1630514-1. 

Funded by SAMHSA, the CoE-PHI develops and disseminates resources, training, and TA for states, healthcare providers, school administrators and individuals and families to improve understanding and application of federal privacy laws and regulations, including FERPA, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2, when providing and receiving treatment for SUD and mental illness.
