Featured Tournament: Teammate Basketball
Teammate basketball is one of the fastest growing youth basketball tournament organizers in the country. This grassroots organization is on a mission to empower todays youth through quality basketball events while positively impacting the communities in which they are held. Teammate Basketball believes the traits that make a great teammate are the same traits that will carry over into other areas of a young athlete’s life. Selflessness, work ethic, communication, respect, reliability. All these things contribute to success on the court, but more importantly serve as essential life skills. Teammate's goal is to foster an environment, not only where basketball skills can be enhanced and exposed, but also where kids can learn what it takes to be the ultimate teammate. Organizing tournaments all over the country Teammate is spreading a message that NSID firmly supports. We are honored to work with an organization that holds the same values that led to the creation of NSID

Hot Topic: Youth Sports Cheating
The primary objective of National Sports ID is to help protect the integrity of youth sports tournaments, leagues and events. We believe that every athlete has the right to a fair an equal playing field. Unfortunately, not everyone in the youth sports world shares that same mission. Cheating in youth sports is a wide spread issue today. One of the worst things an athlete can do in sports is cheat. By gaining an unfair advantage over one’s opponent, not only is the opponent rooked out of a fair result, but the cheating winner achieves a victory that is devalued. The focus of youth sports is supposed to be on learning the game and gaining experience rather than winning at all costs. Youth Sports Parenting: Be Your Youth Athletes Biggest Fan
There is nothing worse than a constant critic, especially when you spend a great deal of time with the person. By nature, most children are trying to make their parent's happy so for them to hear constant criticism about what they are doing wrong, is damaging. Over time, the child may build up massive resentment which leads to him/ her quitting the sport altogether.
Instead, be your son’s/daughter’s biggest fan. Attend as many games as possible, cheer them on, and encourage them every chance you get. Think about it, if you went to a professional game to see your favorite player, would you tell him or her, “you need to use your left hand more” or “you need to get lower on defense”? No way! You would compliment them with comments like, “great game today” and “way to hustle.” You would definitely be focused on the positive. If you would do it for a stranger, you can and should definitely do it for your own son/daughter. NSID Key Feature: Attendance Management
NSID was created by real youth sports coaches. We still operate a large youth sports program in Northern New Jersey and this keeps us on the heart beat of the youth sports world. We understand the frustrating issues that come up when it comes to team organization and tournament registration. One issue we found ourselves facing time and time again was attendance management of our teams. How would we know what players were coming to the game? Will we have enough to play? What if we need to invite players from our other teams? That is why we created a state of the art attendance management feature for NSID. This allows parents to mark "Will be there" or "Can't make it" for events listed on the team calendar. In addition this feature allows you to invite other players from your own program to extra games. No more scrambling to the phones late Friday night, now all you have to do is check your team page to get all the info you need.
Featured Team: Indiana Jammers
The Indiana Jammers are one of the premier basketball organizations in the country and they are age/grade verified, are you?

Attention Parents: Get Your Child Verified for 2019!
If you get your child verified you will never have to gather or carry a birth certificate or report card for a sporting event again. NSID is the future of tournament and league check-in and the sooner you get your child verified the sooner you do not have to worry about it when the 1000s of tournaments require you to.
