| Featured Athlete: Isaac Anderson This weeks featured athlete lives in the gym. At STACK we provide as many opportunities to get in the gym as possible. Coaches can only do so much, it is up to the athletes to show up and take advantage. Issac plays for our AAU teams and shows up everyday. Whether he is in our dribbling and shooting classes, speed and agility training or team practices, he always finds a way to get better. Not only is Isaac a dedicated athlete and a powerful force on the court he is also one of the most friendly and polite athletes at STACK. He always says hello to everyone and can be seen laughing and having a good time with his teammates. That is what STACK is all about, providing a safe and encouraging environment where kids can work towards a positive goal while enjoying a fun social environment. We are very happy to have Isaac and we know he has big things ahead of him. |

Presidents Day camp is sold out! We are excited for this coming week's annual Presidents Day camp. This year we are completely sold out with over 65 athletes ready to spend the day working hard and having fun. The STACK Basketball staff has spent the last couple days preparing a day to be remembered. Campers will enjoy a fun filled day of hard work and lessons from the game. We look forward to seeing everyone who couldn't make it at our next camp.

There is No "I" in Team In today’s youth sports world we feel that the term, there is No "I" in Team has become a very rare understanding for a player to have. In addition we also feel that for an athlete to be great he or she must not only understand that there is No "I" in Team but they must really believe it. This is where we believe the challenge comes in for a player to really let go of all their personal agendas and do what is best for the team to have the best chance to win a championship. At STACK we try to instill this understanding in our players. We not only want them to become great basketball players but also learn valuable life skills. In life no matter what you do you will always need to be able to work with a team. There is no better sport to teach that than basketball. As we get closer to our Spring AAU season we are excited to announce the return of our Basketball Skills Academy. Lead by our master STACK skills trainer Joe Feinberg the academy will have extended hours to allow players to work in their skills and the fine details of basketball. The skills academy is designed for the athlete willing to dedicate time to self improvement. Athletes will work hard in a team oriented group environment. We are very excited to see all the hard work STACK athletes will put in during the spring season. |

Coach Cavan LaRose We are excited to introduce a brand new addition to the STACK Coaching Staff . Cavan LaRose grew up in Ogdensburg, NY and started playing basketball when he was four years old. He played high school basketball for Ogdensburg Free Academy for four years. He then went on to college at Sacred Heart University, where he played three years of Division 1 Men’s Basketball at as a walk-on. He graduated with a Sports Management degree from Sacred Heart University in 2017. He also received his Master’s in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University in 2018. He has coached in a variety of Summer Basketball camps during the summer while in college. He also has worked at the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club, where he has coached youth basketball as well. We are very excited to have Coach Cavan as a part of the Stack coaching staff.
