 Player of the Week Award
The Player of the Week Award for our Free Basketball Clinic, goes out after each workout to the player who demonstrates the intangible qualities that are in all great basketball players. Coach Ryan Tremblay is always stressing important qualities like: being a vocal leader, being enthusiastic, encouraging your teammates, diving on the floor for loose balls, getting teammates excited, be an emotional leader, working hard, participating, listening and playing tough defense. The Player of the Week Award will go to the type of player that not only Coach Tremblay likes but all coaches and players would want on their team.

Player of the Week - Nicholas LaVerghetta, 5'4 95lbs
Online Basketball Camp is proud to announce The Player of the Week for Sunday's Free Basketball Clinic, Nicholas LaVerghetta. 
 
Nicholas stepped up in a big way this week, by showing his leadership on the black top, at Commodore Perry in Mahwah, NJ. He was encouraging the other players and working as hard as he could in the hardest drills. Nicholas really stood out in our Triple Threat Drill with moves to the hoop, as well as the clinics favorite drill: As Many Moves as You Can in a Circle in 20 Seconds. Nicholas has become one of the best at making a good moves to the hoop, then jump stopping and powering up with either his right or left hand.
 
Nicholas is usually found on the front of lines for drills and always raises his hand to answer Coach Ryan's questions about basketball key terms. Nicholas's name will be put on a plaque with past Players of the Week in the trophy room of the Online Basketball Camp. You can visit our trophy room by clicking on: Player of the Week
 
We recently spoke to Nicholas about his experience at the Free Basketball Clinic.

Coach Ryan: "Nicholas, what do you like most about the basketball clinic?
Nicholas: "I really like working on my shooting. I love the enthusiasm that all the players have and that gets me excited to work harder. I also like to answer questions about key terms that Coach Ryan asks."
Coach Ryan: "What qualities do you like to demonstrate the most in the basketball clinic?"
Nicholas: "I like to be enthusiastic and practice my leadership skills by encouraging the other players to work hard."
Coach Ryan: "What is your nickname?"
Garret: "Nikko McDougal"
