Subject: Feeling weird? You're not alone.

New articles to help you get through this, no matter how you're feeling.

What a time to be a life and relationship coach.

The last time you heard from me was about a month ago. We were facing uncertainty, novelty, and anxiousness. Now here we are; some of us are ready for the lockdown to be over; some fear of re-opening too soon. Know that your feelings are valid and are born of your own individual life experiences combined with your DNA. (Yes, the way you experience the world is due in part to your DNA!)

I am experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic quite differently than what I see in the media. I am calm, unafraid and pretty much at peace. Right now I am sitting outside looking at the blue sky with my un-manicured feet up. My partner and I are fighting no more than usual. It seems like more because the media has brought attention to stress and fighting during lockdown. Trips to the grocery store are challenging. I sit in the parking lot and gear myself up for the trip inside. Why? Because the media has told me it's a germ factory in there. The truth is, it's no more or less. Everything is a function of where your attention is at the moment. Where is yours?

I've written some new pieces to meet you wherever you are. Do you feel like...

  • You're not yourself? After the SARS outbreak in 2003, many people experienced depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It's likely to happen again with this pandemic. Whatever symptoms or feelings you are experiencing, they are valid and not to be ignored. Read the article: What You Need to Know About your Mental Health during COVID-19

  • You're overwhelmed with negativity? Humans' negativity bias helped us survive throughout evolutionary history, but it does not serve us well today. Challenge yourself to find the good. Read the article: Where's the Good News?

  • Your partner/living situation is harming you? This is serious . The call to "stay safe at home" means danger for people in abusive relationships. Living with a narcissistic abuser seems amazing at first, almost too good to be true. Then you start to wonder how this beautiful place, your home, can be so dangerous and hurtful. I'll close with reminding you that I've either experienced or helped people through just about every challenge life and relationships can throw at you. Know that you can confide in me to talk through anything you may be experiencing. Simply reply to this email if you'd like to schedule a session.

Be well, and be limitless!

Love,

Katelyn
