Greetings, Cinemapolitans:
We're adding to our popular slate of films with one new opener on Friday:
  • One Child Nation, Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang's documentary on China's now-dissolved population control policy, won the Grand Jury prize at this year's Sundance Film Festival. David Rooney of the Hollywood Reporter calls it  "a powerful indictment of a traumatic social experiment, made all the more startling by the success of the propaganda machine in making people continue to believe it was necessary."
AND the celebration of our first decade on Green Street is getting underway with a FUNdraising raffle opportunity for YOU:
PRIVATE MOVIE PARTY RAFFLE TICKETS NOW ON SALE!

To celebrate our 10th anniversary in our “new” Green Street home, we’re throwing YOU a party!

Raffle tickets are now available to WIN a private movie party at Cinemapolis, featuring the movie of your choice, up to 100 of your movie-loving friends, and unlimited popcorn and drinks! $10 per ticket or 5 for $40.

Available NOW at the Box Office and from
Cinemapolis Board Members.
Drawing to be held at our Anniversary Bash on 9/18!
While you're planning your next week at the movies, get in soon to catch Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles and Maiden. They both have their last screenings THIS Thursday, September 5th!
