Greetings, Cinemapolitans!
We're holding over all our current hits for another week, and adding ONE special limited engagement on Friday:
And that's not all! There are plenty of special events on the way, including one TONIGHT...

A ONE NIGHT ONLY chance to meet producer, writer, star (and former Cornellian) Naomi McDougall Jones for a screening of her new film, Bite Me: A subversive romantic comedy about the real-life subculture of people who believe that they’re vampires and the IRS agent who audits them.

Ithaca is just one stop on the film's JOYFUL VAMPIRE TOUR OF AMERICA— the filmmakers have rented an RV and are taking the film on the road for a 3-month tour from May 8 to July 31, spreading the wild, raucous joy of this film and its characters.

With Exhibition On Screen, you can experience the works of the greatest artists as you've never seen them - on the BIG screen.

Monet’s life is a gripping tale about a man who, behind his sun-dazzled canvases, suffered from feelings of depression, loneliness, even suicide. However, as his art developed and his love of gardening led to the glories of his Giverny garden, his humour, insight and love of life are revealed. Told through Monet’s own words and shot on location at the very spots he painted, the film features his most loved paintings in an unforgettable, immersive art experience.

Working with top international museums and galleries, EXHIBITION ON SCREEN create films which offer a cinematic immersion into the world’s best loved art, accompanied by insights from the world’s leading historians and arts critics. Since launching in 2011, EXHIBITION ON SCREEN have released 19 films which have been shown in over 61 countries worldwide.

Cinemapolis is once again celebrating our modern-day jesters with a festival of films. The 3rd Annual Fool’s Flicks Marathon is a day-long event featuring films of and about the art of stand-up comedy.

The program kicks off on Saturday, July 27th at 2pm with three special screenings: The Best of Ernie Kovacs, Man on the Moon, and The Big Sick. Those screenings will be followed by a LIVE stand-up event in the cinema’s lobby, organized by Comedy on the Commons.

The Fool’s Flicks Marathon at Cinemapolis is made possible by lead sponsor C.S.P. Management, with additional support from the National Comedy Center in Jamestown.
All our current films are being held over, but some have limited showtimes, so be sure to check the schedule closely.

 See you at the movies!
