Greetings, Cinemapolitans!

Award season continues this week with the debut of a film just included in the Academy's short list for the top Documentary award:
  • Adding a human face to one of the biggest headlines of the decade, Laura Poitras' CitizenFour paints an intimate and objective portrait of controversial "leaker," Edward Snowden. Shot largely in Snowden's Hong Kong hotel room, the film casts Snowden as neither hero nor villain, but rather a data-wonk whose knowledge--and the drive to share it--has forced him undercover.   As Beth Saulnier of the Ithaca Journal puts it: "There's an aura of menace and urgency lurking over the hotel scenes, as Snowden faces what he knew logically but is only now beginning to digest: He can never go home again."
Catch this LIMITED ENGAGEMENT while you can.

With the holidays in full swing, we have THREE ways to make the season bright this year:
  • Giving the gift of the movies is simple again this year, with our Holiday Gift Pack cards. Each card is good for FIVE regular admissions and FIVE small popcorns. All that for just $55. Pick up a couple at the box office today!

  • Even easier is a Cinemapolis Gift Card. Available in any denomination, you can now purchase them ONLINE at Cinemapolis.org

  • And for those looking for a festive cinema experience, the Christmas Day Benefit Brunch at the Movies is back by popular demand. Reserve your seats now for this annual tradition that includes a thai buffet and a chance to be the FIRST to see Imitation Game, Wild, or Big Eyes. Tickets are just $45 and can be purchased online.
