DUE TO THE POPULARITY OF OUR CURRENT SLATE OF AWARD WINNING MOVIES, EXPECT LONG LINES.
WE ADVISE ARRIVING 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SHOWTIME.

Greetings Cinemapolitans!

Whew! Thanks for all who attended our And the Winner Is...Gala on Sunday. The night had it all: delicious food, fun people, great prizes, and a bevy of trophies taken home by films that are on our screens. We're still tabulating our own ballots, so expect the announcement of our "Guess the Winners" contest soon.

In the meantime, we have more new movies opening this Friday AND by popular demand, this year's Best Picture Winner, Moonlight, is making a special "victory lap" with a ONE WEEK ONLY limited engagement. If you missed it before, or just need to see it again, now's your chance!

Also coming on Friday:
  • Director Amma Asante (Belle) returns to our screens with another true-life tale. In A United Kingdom, she transports us back to the scandal that erupted when Botswanan Prince Seretse Khama married Ruth Williams, a white English woman, in the late 1940s.  Kate Erbland of IndieWire calls it "a rich, stirring look at one of modern society’s most enduring — and yes, inspirational — marriages, underpinned by political machinations that remain all too relevant."

  • Following his stunning work on Jackie, director Pablo Larrain returns with another compelling look at recent history. With Neruda, he's crafted an alternate form of bio-pic, focusing on an investigator tracking down Chile's famed poet. Jay Weissberg of Variety says it's Larrain "at his stunning best with a work of such cleverness and beauty, alongside such power, that it’s hard to know how to parcel out praise: script, cinematography, art direction and performances all vie for kudos and awards."
While you're planning your next week at the movies, get in soon to catch Paterson and Toni Erdmann They both play their last shows THIS Thursday, March 2nd.
 See you at the movies!
