It's our favorite time of year, when all of our films have been nominated for Oscars. We add one more contender to the mix this week: - Charlotte Rampling received her first (!) Oscar nomination for the marvelous performance at the heart of 45 Years. Rampling joins Tom Courtenay as a long-married couple grappling with a recently revealed secret from decades before. Together with writer-director Andrew Haigh, they've created what Jessica Kiang of IndieWire calls "A movie so simple, so elegant, and yet so devouringly empathetic that you might not notice its full magic until a few hours later." Don't miss this limited engagement!

| | This Friday, we're VERY excited to welcome one of the key players in the creation of the wonderfully twisted new animated feature, Anomalisa.
Animation supervisor, Dan Driscoll will be in the house for an intro and post-show Q & A following the screening at 7:15 on Friday, February 5th. Dan works as an animator in LA, but lives nearby in Corning! His other credits include MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch, The PJ's, Mary Shelley's Frankenhole, and Robot Chicken. |
