To be saved is to cross over from spiritual death to spiritual life. This is not a metaphor—it’s a spiritual reality. Jesus said, _“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life”_ (John 5:24). Salvation is not a probationary state. It is a permanent transfer of citizenship—from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son (Colossians 1:13).
