What is more certain than death or taxes? The salvation of genuine
believers in Christ. There is a certain connection between the
crucifixion of Christ and the final salvation of all his people. Jesus’s
sacrificial death will result in a definite amount of good. When
something is definite, it is fixed, certain, and clear.
Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance
from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out
according to his plan.
