Subject: Free resources for February's character focus

This month's character focus is Sensitivity: "Exercising my senses so I can perceive the true spirit and emotions of those around me"

This month, our character focus is Sensitivity. The operational definition of sensitivity is “exercising my senses so I can perceive the true spirit and emotions of those around me.”

As you seek to understand people, ask God to help you. Sometimes you won’t know what your friend needs, but the Holy Spirit does know and He can guide you. Rather than using your senses to pry or make judgments, use them to minister to others as Jesus did.

Each booklet in the comprehensive children’s curriculum contains four complete lessons. A lesson is comprised of a Bible story and questions, a memory verse, and a craft or activity. The character quality is reinforced with a corresponding hymn history and sheet music, an overview of the character quality, and suggested resources for further study. Through this study, children are encouraged to have a tender heart toward the Lord, to empathize with those who are suffering, and to rejoice with those who are rejoicing. The free download includes a few sample parts of a lesson.
