MULTI-USE TRAIL DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES THROUGH THE WINTER AT CHANTILLY FARM

Local Floydian, Paul Sullivan, has taken the lead on further developing multi-use trails at Chantilly Farm. What started as a few shorter length hiking trails is now evolving into a rather extensive network of trails for hiking and biking. Once completed, the trails will be available to both the general public and guests at Chantilly Farm. (ATV's or motorized vehicles will not be allowed on the trail.)

In the coming months we'll be developing trail maps and begin promoting the trail system on social media and our website. So stay tuned!
 VOLUNTEERS CELEBRATED AT CHANTILLY FARM

On Thursday, November 9, many of our Friends of Chantilly volunteers gathered at the barn to celebrate the end of the events season, but more importantly it was a way for us to be able to show our gratitude for their many hours of hard work throughout the year.

NEW INTERN TO ASSIST WITH SPECIAL PROJECTS

In an effort to make progress on a number of outdoor recreation projects, greening of the venue and events, and grant acquisitions, we've recently partnered with Radford University's internship program.

Patrick Mahoney, a current student in the Recreation Parks and Tourism program at RU, will be beginning his work with Chantilly Farm in the spring. We're so excited that Patrick will be joining our team!
