New Camping Facilities Are Nearing Completion

Crews are working on completing the first stages of new camping facilities at Chantilly Farm! The first of two planned handicapped accessible showerhouses has been completed along with 25 new full-service RV spaces. A certified RV dump station is now complete and located near the main entrance to the venue, making it easily accessible to campers at Chantilly Farm or those who simply need a place to discharge grey water while visiting the Floyd area. Additionally, Chantilly Farm has now become an official member of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, the Virginia Campground Association, and the Floyd Lodging Association.
Volunteers Need for Building Additional Hiking Trails

The hiking trails at Chantilly Farm have been popular with campers and festival attendees over the last couple of years and now we are looking to expand those trails. Volunteers who are interested in trail building are encouraged to contact Jason at (540)353-5898 to learn more about how you can help. As many may know, Cheryl Baker, Debbie Robertson, and others, have already worked on tree and plant identification on the initial trail and even went as far as putting together a printable trail guide that describes the biological diversity found along the trail. Girl Scout Troop #3051, led by Brenda Lewis, are also making plans to help with additional trail building this fall. Come on out and join in the fun as we expand the hiking opportunities in Floyd County!
