MISS FLOYD COUNTY FAIR PAGEANT CROWNS WINNERS

The Barn at Chantilly Farm hosted the second annual Miss Floyd County Fair pageant on Saturday, August 26. Winners were crowned in a variety of categories with the crown of Miss Floyd County Fair being awarded to Jaci Thomas of Floyd. Other winners were Miss Wee Baby, Rayeleigh Tucker......Miss Little Miss, Makayla Vest.....Miss Young Miss, Addison Vest.....Miss Pre-Teen, Carly Thompson.....Miss Junior Floyd County Fair, Riley Spangler. Fan Favorite was Kambrianna Tucker. Miss Personality was Makayla Vest. Miss Photogenic was Brooklyn Wade.

The pageant's organizers would like to thank all of the parents, families, staff, volunteers and sponsors for helping make this year's pageant such a success. 
OUTDOOR FILM NIGHT KICKS OFF COUNTY FAIR WEEKEND

The eleventh annual Floyd Livestock and County Fair will kick off its festivities this year with an outdoor film night featuring the 1980's hit film, 'Footloose'. The film was chosen for coinciding with this year's fair theme, 'Come Dance with Us at the Fair'.  

In addition to the film, the fair's exhibits will be open for public viewing in The Barn at Chantilly Farm beginning at 4pm. A beer and wine garden will be available for those attending the film and food will be available from Bootleg BBQ and Hillbilly Goodies in the Country Store area of the farm. 

Admission is only $2 per person or $6 per family or carload. So come out for an evening of family fun! The film will begin at dusk. 
COUNTY FAIR FESTIVITIES FOR SEPTEMBER 9

Come celebrate Floyd County’s rich agricultural heritage at this year's Floyd Livestock and County Fair on Saturday, September 9 at Chantilly Farm in Floyd from 10am until 4pm. 

A midway of festive games and activities organized by local non-profit groups will take center stage at this year’s event along with a wide variety of vendors who will showcase local hand-crafted items, present unique demonstrations and more. Plan on visiting the indoor barn facility to take in all of the wonderful exhibits that will be on display. The exhibits portion of the fair is organized by the Floyd Center for the Arts and will feature everything from local art to canned good and handcrafts. 

Attendees will also enjoy a mechanical bull ride, petting zoo, horseback rides, mutton bustin', fun contests and a great lineup of live music on the main stage.

11:30am   High Noon Band 
12:45pm   Fork Mountain Ramblers 
1:45pm     Wound Tight 
2:45pm     Pageant Recognition 
3:00pm     Little Shivers 

So bring a lawn chair or blanket and plan on spending the entire day. The event is rain or shine. No pets.

BULL RIDING SHOW TO WRAP UP COUNTY FAIR WEEKEND 

Revenge Roughstock will bring their wildly entertaining bull riding show back to Chantilly Farm on Saturday, September 9 from 4pm until 7pm in a separately ticketed event to wrap up the festivities of County Fair weekend. 

The bull ride will be held in one of the lower fields at Chantilly Farm along Franklin Pike. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating. Food and drink will be available from Bootleg BBQ and Hillbilly Goodies throughout the event. 

Admission is separate from the fair. Ages 12 and up are $10, ages 7-11 are $5 and ages 6 and under are free. 
GRATEFUL DEAD TRIBUTE CONCERT SEPTEMBER 16

Do you love the iconic music of The Grateful Dead? If so, then you won't want to miss an incredible outdoor tribute concert featuring the nationally renowned tribute act, Cosmic Charlie on Saturday, September 16. With special musical guest, Seph Custer. 

The event is a highlight of the annual VW Bus Campout at Chantilly Farm.
