Chantilly Farm Bluegrass Festival Receives Festival Grant from Virginia Tourism Corporation

The Virginia Tourism Corporation in Richmond recently announced that Chantilly Farm's annual Bluegrass & BBQ festival was one of 21 festivals chosen from around the state to receive a grant awarded through the Virginia is For Music Lover's promotional initiative. The awards were granted to select festivals who exhibit continued growth and draw musical tourism to various areas throughout the State of Virginia. The grant funds will be used to  market the festival to new fans and further improve the fan experience while attending the festival. All of us at Chantilly Farm would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all of our tourism officials at the state and local level for all that they do to improve Virginia's live music scene. We're honored to be a part of it!
Chantilly Farm Joins Forces with VTC for
Crush Friday Campaign

Chantilly Farm is one of many local and regional businesses who have partnered with the Virginia Tourism Corporation in a brand new advertising campaign called 'Crush Fridays'. During the 2018 season, Chantilly Farm will offer a special Crush Friday discount for weekend campers who mention the campain.

So what is Crush Friday? Check out this exerpt from the official VTC website:

Virginia Tourism Corporation, along with our industry partners, is launching a year-long campaign aimed at getting Millennials to take the time they need. Our focus will be convincing them to dip their toe in the vacation pool in a way that’s low cost and low risk, but hugely rewarding. If we can get Millennials to take just one day off and spend it in Virginia, then maybe, just maybe, we can ease their fears, shift their mindset and save vacation for posterity.

The CRUSH FRIDAY campaign elevates our Virginia is for Lovers sub-brands to remind workers that there are way better things to do with their Friday than meetings, spreadsheets and microwaved lunches. They can spend it at a beach or music festival, over an amazing rosé or a dozen Olde Salts, on a mountaintop or paddleboard. Our campaign challenges misconceptions about vacation, demonstrates the breadth of amazing experiences Virginia offers and issues a clarion call for Millennials to take a well-deserved day—and crush it.

Featuring performances from Balsam Range, Seldom Scene, Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time, Lonesome River Band, Love Canon, Volume Five, Darrell Webb Band, Breaking Grass, The Po' Ramblin' Boys, Kenny and Amanda Smith, Mickey Galyean & Cullen's Bridge, A Deeper Shade of Blue, The Wildmans, ShadowGrass, Mike Mitchell Trio, Floyd Music School Students, Blue Rock'n Grass, Wound Tight, Mason Creek, Williamson Branch, Tony & Heather Mabe Ministries, The Compton's & Friends, Indian Run Stringband, Steve Marshall and High Road, Back Porch Cloggers and tons of jamming.

A new addition this year is the stageside beer and wine garden. Guests will not be confined to the beer garden area and will be able to freely move about the concert area with their beverages. Outside alcohol will not be permitted in the concert area, but you are free to keep it at your campsite.

Our Saturday evening programming will also extend later in the evening. Following an incredible set of grassed-up 80's covers from Love Canon, some of our favorite local musicians, The Wildmans and Mike Mitchell, will lead an on-stage late-night jam!

We have a wide array of arts and craft vendors signing up to participate this year. And as always, some deliciously unique food vendors that will no doubt satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

Save with advance tickets and don't forget that kids 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. So tell a friend and makes plans to bring the entire family for a weekend of music and fun in the mountains!
