As you know, this year's joint ceremonies were particularly challenging against the background of the terrible war that continues to take a bloody toll every day. We chose to uplift the voices of those who believe in a shared humanity and an end to the violence.
For the Memorial Ceremony, we chose to focus on the stories of children - who pay the heaviest price in the war and for whom we want to provide a different future. For the Nakba Ceremony, we chose to discuss liberation and how we must liberate ourselves from the oppressive reality of the occupation and the ongoing Nakba in order to achieve a safer future for Palestinians and Israelis.
Out of the pain and difficulty we create a source of hope for peace. In the face of attempts to dehumanize each other, we adhere to humanity. Again, we thank everyone who took part in building the ceremonies, everyone who participated and everyone who donated - without you it would not have been possible.
With gratitude,
