This week, six dialogue meetings with the 12th grade classes at Boyer School in Jerusalem were scheduled. These are the kinds of meetings that the Parents Circle -  Families Forum has been holding for years, where two members, Israeli and Palestinian, tell their personal stories of bereavement, and answer questions. This year, parents and students in the school were flooded with videos and messages from two extreme right-wing activists saying:

"today you are expected to have virtual meetings with bereaved families, when actually they are family members of terrorists. This scandalous event is part of a plot to present the murderous acts of terror as equal to the heroic acts of our best of our boys and girls, who fell in the name of protecting our homeland ... "

The whole school community was disturbed and frightened, but when the meetings took place, students, parents, and teachers came to understand that there are perpetrators and victims on both sides, that war is a choice, and that reconciliation is the only humane path forward. All six meetings were truly successful and the transformations were profound for all who participated.

Like this, the power of individual transformation can truly transform the whole world. The Joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Ceremony, which will be broadcast live tomorrow, has the potential to inspire and transform tens of thousands of individuals around the world.

This 15th Joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Ceremony has received so much support from all across the world. We have received requests from people and groups in South America, Ireland, South Africa, the USA, all throughout Europe, Canada, Jordan, and more, all eager to join in solidarity. Our hearts expand as we see how much our ceremony speaks to everyone. Thank you to our worldwide partners and sponsors, supporters and friends, and everyone courageous enough to help make this ceremony happen!
