Subject: Support the Joint Memorial Ceremony — Help build the Day After

Dear Friend,

Today, in the midst of war, we are launching our campaign to support the 21st Joint Memorial Ceremony. Once again, we are coming together to grieve, to stand with one another, and to say clearly - There is Another Way!

20th April 2026

Live Broadcast from Israel-Palestine 20:30 Jerusalem

19:30 Berlin | 18:30 London | 13:30 New York

For those who may not know, the Joint Memorial Ceremony, organized by Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle – Families Forum, takes place on Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. Across the country, families gather in cemeteries to remember those who have been killed in the conflict. Over time, the meaning of this day has become distorted and too often used to justify continued violence, reinforce fear, and sustain a reality with no political horizon. The pain and loss of a family should never be used to justify or normalize violence - whether carried out by a state or by individuals.

Our ceremony offers a different path. It brings Palestinian and Israeli bereaved families together in shared remembrance, not to erase difference, but to acknowledge it, and to insist that grief must not be used to prepare us for more loss. It is a call to recognize one another’s humanity and to confront the systems of occupation, inequality, and violence that continue to shape all of our lives.

The ceremony will take place in Israel, with a simultaneous event in Palestine, alongside screenings across Israel and gatherings around the world. It reflects a growing movement of people who refuse the logic of endless war and are working together to build what comes after. Register here to receive all the live broadcast information you need to be a part of the ceremony, from wherever you are in the world.

We still hold onto hope - and we need you to believe too. Please support the ceremony today, and be part of creating the day after.
