Subject: Reject Violence, Support Hope

We are asking you today to support unity and to embrace another way. We can’t do this without you so please donate to the Joint Memorial Ceremony

Dear Friends,

April this year brings a beautiful coming together of faiths. Ramadan, Pesach and Easter all coincide, overlapping each other and reminding us all of the closeness of our neighbours. There is so much symbolism behind each holiday, and individual customs and traditions that we repeat every year. Have you ever sat down to an Iftar meal? A Seder Night Dinner? Or a Sunday Roast? Try it! It is a small way to feel closer to those from other communities, and more connected, sympathetic, and tolerant of those we don’t know, and may fear.

We are asking you today to support unity and to embrace another way. We can’t do this without you so please donate to the Joint Memorial Ceremony.

The line-up of speakers will be announced soon, and viewing instructions will follow closer to the 3rd May. We have no doubt that this year will be inspirational, set against a sadly familiar backdrop of violence and war. We must come together to hear a new perspective on peace, to be open to the concept of togetherness, and accept ‘the other’ as we do our own.

We have opportunities to become a Ceremony partner, either as an individual or an organisation. If you are interested in discussing the various ways to be a part of the Joint Memorial, please contact laura.morris@cfpeace.org who will be happy to share options with you.

So for now, we wish you Ramadan Kareem, Pesach Sameach, and Happy Easter.
