Subject: Invitation - What is the Israeli-Palestinian Joint Memorial anyway?

Dear Friend,

To answer the many questions that we have received over the past couple of weeks, you are invited to join us for a conversation on the Israeli-Palestinian Joint Memorial ceremony that is taking place on Monday 24th April.

We will answer the hard questions including are we traitors? Do we commemorate terrorists? Why hold the ceremony on the Israeli Memorial Day? Plus many others that have been asked.

Sunday 16th April 9pm Jerusalem, 7pm London, 2pm New York

Zoom - link to be shared after registration

Hear from Sulaiman Khatib and Chen Alon, Combatants for Peace leaders, about the history of our Memorial, and the reason that we are taking the ceremony back to the park for the first time in three years. They will share with you the behind the scenes challenges of creating the event, how we prepare ourselves for the anger and hate that is directed towards us, and the significance of the Ceremony in the context of the current situation in Israel and Palestine.

At a time when democracy is fragile, and violence is our common language, this event is the only opportunity for Israelis and Palestinians to share the stage, to acknowledge each other and to denounce all acts of violence.
