Subject: Invitation; For Gaza's Children - Repairing Lives on the Ground

Dear Friend,

Over the past two years, Gaza’s children have endured violence, displacement, starvation, illness, and trauma on a scale that defies comprehension. Tens of thousands of children have lost homes, family members, or both. All need safe shelter, education, medical care, food, and psychosocial support.

Amid this devastation, The Gaza Children Village (GCV) has become a vital refuge serving over 8,500 children, GCV provides a strategic, community-led model for education, dignity, trauma care, and long-term stability across the Gaza Strip.

Now, GCV is undertaking its most urgent and needed effort yet: the creation of what will become Gaza’s only tertiary children’s hospital — a place capable of providing lifesaving care. You are invited to learn more about this pioneering initiative.

Tuesday, December 16, 2025

12:00 pm ET | 7:00 pm Jerusalem | 5:00 pm London | Zoom

Our Speakers:

Dr. David Hasan: Palestinian-American neurosurgeon, professor at Duke University, and founder of GCV. His frontline medical missions in Gaza revealed the collapse of critical systems and inspired a holistic model of care addressing safety, education, emotional recovery, and long-term stability. From his work on the ground, Dr. Hasan will share:

  • The current realities facing Gaza’s children

  • The Village’s efforts to provide Gaza’s children with safe, structured, daily environments where they can learn, heal, and grow with dignity.

  • Urgent plans to convert an existing hospital into the only tertiary children’s hospital in Gaza

  • How global solidarity can help protect and rebuild the children’s futures

Moderated by Mai Shahin
